"I Feel Like the Cowboy Who Lassoed the Moon (Wooden
Version)"

Wood, Wire, Rope, Polymer Clay, Acrylic
•Sold
Collection of Daniel Simms, Red
Union Salon, San Francisco
The wooden cut out of my mounted satellite-wrangler is connected
by a tiny, rope lasso to a three-dimensional moon, which is mounted on a wire
above the main body of the painting.
Whenever I reflect on my recent past, I always thank my lucky
stars!
You can see those stars in the background of this painting.
I created
this as an expression of how fortunate I feel, having come from a tiny Kansas
town, with little exposure to culture, to being able to make my living, for
many years now, in the field of art.
Yipee Ki Yi Yay!
