Yes, San Francisco has fallen into the ocean -
and they're still partying in the streets!
What inspired me to paint such images
wasn't just the myth of California's
watery demise.
When I lived there, and when I visit still,
I always love the quality of light
created by the fog!
That is why I painted (and 'tooned) 'Frisco
underwater so often -
because it is!
There's a perpetual blanket of moisture
that creates diffused, soft focus visuals...
